09 DAYS MARRAKECH/MARRAKECH
You start your discovery by visiting Marrakech, an 11th century city called also Red City which offer fabulous attractions by its markets, its museums, its palaces and its gardens.
You start then your expedition on 4WD by crossing the High Atlas mountains via the famous pass Tizi n’Tchka 2260 meter high. you visit Ait Ben Haddou which is a UNESCO Word Heritage site since 1987.
Before to reach the red sand dunes, you enjoy the amazing rock formation of Jbel Saghro, You conclude your trip by exploring well-known Dades canyon.
Program
Day 1
Arrival in Marrakech, meet at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Overnight hotel.
Day 2
Full day sightseeing of Marrakech. Palaces, gardens and the souks. Overnight hotel.
Day 3
Drive via Tizi n’Tichka pass to Telouet where we visit an old palace of Pacha Thami El Glaoui ( The Lord of the Atlas). We follow the old caravan route of salt, gold and slaves till Ait Ben Haddou. Visit this UNESCO World heritage site. Drive to Ouarzazate, the Hollywood of Morocco!. Afternoon we reach the oasis of Skoura with its 1000 kasbahs.. Overnight family hotel in the oasis. 5h30h to drive.
Day 4
Drive eastward Through Rose’s valley to Jebel Saghro mountain range, amazing view after Tizi n’Tazazert pass, the lunar scenery of Bab n’Ali rocks. Short walk. Overnight nice Kasbah in the Nkob village. 6h to drive. 1h hiking.
Day 5
A short drive to reach the green oasis of Draa Valley where we explore: Ksour ( fortified village), beautiful Kasbah, small souks ( weekly market) and the life of the
Berbers in the tiny fields…lunch in Zagora. Afternoon we drive eastward through a rocky desert to Oumjrane then off road to Rich Sidi Ali and Djebel Zireg (the blue mountain). Overnight Riad Nomade in Tafraoute. 5h to drive.
Day 6
We keep driving eastward via Ouzina Sund dunes and the archiologic site of engraving stones Taous to the big Erg Chebbi. On the way, visit a small village of Haratine” Old salves of Soudan and Mali” where they make a show of the famous Gnawa music. Late in the afternoon ride a camel for an incredible sunset from the top of the Erg. Overnight small lodge or under tent at the foot of Erg Chebbi. 5h to drive.
Day 7
Drive to Tinejdad where your learn about an ancient technique of irrigation. Afternoon we head to the famous Dades canyon. 5h driving. Overnight hotel in Dades valley.
Day 8
A small road lead us through the high Atlas mountains to natural bridge Imi n’Ifri. Back to Marrakech. Overnight hotel. 6h driving.
Day 9
Transfer to the airport. End of our services.
